Analog Diary I

Analog Yashica FR-I Kodak Photo Adventures Traveling Switzerland Poland

For already quite some time I am an enthusiast of analogue photography. Everything started in late 2015 when I have won Nikon FE on auction for 17 CHF. I have never shot before with analogue so it was a completely new experience. My first roll had only 40% of good pictures – rest of them was just not fired because of camera defect. Not so long time later I have bought this time fully functional Yashica FR-I with two prime lenses which I expanded with two zoom lenses. You might think why I even bother to use the photo technique which is rather hipster than something serious? Pictures produced by old analogue cameras are not really sharp, more colourful or even more interesting than digital photos. The whole secret is buried in the imperfection of this technique and patience. For final picture sometimes I wait even few months. After this time I barely have an idea what was in the picture or even where exactly the pictures were taken. This is what I like the most in analogue photography. I hope you will keep waiting with me for next rolls! The gallery below consists of two rolls: Kodak Ultramax 400 and Color plus 200. All pictures were taken with Yashica FR-I and 35-70 mm f/3.5-4.5 and 80-200 mm f/4.5.
